At Bigul, we're incredibly proud to celebrate our own little champion, Annisha Patra, the daughter of Amresh Patra from our Bigul family.

Annisha Patra, a 15-year-old powerhouse in the world of table tennis, has already achieved remarkable milestones. She holds an All-India rank of 85 and is ranked 2nd in Maharashtra State for the under-17 girls category. Her crowning achievement came in 2023 when she secured a gold medal at the All India DAV School Nationals.

Annisha’s journey began at the tender age of 9, playing table tennis with her father. Her early love for the game quickly blossomed, and by 13, she had joined a professional academy. Her dedication bore fruit when, in 2019, she competed in the DAV Sports National Level as the youngest participant from her school, winning a bronze medal.

In 2024, her relentless hard work paid off once more, earning her a silver medal and a 2nd place ranking at the Maharashtra State level. Annisha’s commitment to the sport is evident in her rigorous daily practice schedule, dedicating 8-9 hours each day under the expert guidance of her Head Coach, Arjun Patra.

This 10th grader's story is a story of incredible ambition and hard work. We at Bigul are honoured to witness her journey and cheer for her continued success.

JP Olympia Table Tennis Academy (JPOTTA) proudly announces the achievements of our athletes at the TSTTA Mumbai 2nd District Ranking Tournament:

JPOTTA Team Outstanding performance at TSTTA Annual Interclub Table Tennis Team League 2024 

Congratulations to Daksh Talwar and Ryan Hooda of Jpotta for being part of the U/17 Maharashtra team, which secured the silver medal at the CISCE Nationals held in Lucknow! A special shout-out to Daksh Talwar for also reaching the semifinals in the individual singles event and qualifying for the SGFI Nationals. Well done, champs!

Update for recent conducted Maharashtra State Championship …

Congratulations to Anannya Basak for securing gold in the women’s team championship at the recent Maharashtra State Championship as part of TSTTA Mumbai. Kudos to Aakarshan Yadav for becoming the U-11 boys champion and Ayaan Athar for clinching the bronze in the same category. Daksh Talwar deserves recognition for securing the bronze in the U-15 doubles event.

Well played by U-15 girls’ team – Annisha, Krishika, and Jiya – representing Raigad district and achieving bronze. Well done, champs! Many more victories await. Special thanks to all coaches and well-wishers of JPOTTA 

It is with immense pleasure that we would like to inform you that *Ryan Iqbal Hooda* after winning Bronze Medal 🥉 in Zonal and top 4th position in Regional levels of *Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination- (CISCE)* Table Tennis Tournaments held at Pune, Ryan represent Maharashtra Team at Bishop School – Pune from 17th to 19th October 2023, where he and his team had bagged Gold Medal 🏅and had secured 1st place at National Level.

In furtherance to this once again Ryan has brought pride to us by securing 4th position in top 5 U/l4 Boys single in same Tournament and is qualified to play in National Team at School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Championship, which will be held on 8th January to 13th January 2024 in Indore. Thank you to all our academy well-wisher. 

In recent tournament Annisha Krishika and Jiya from JPOTTA, representing their school from Maharashtra, secured a gold medal for the first time in the All India DAV National Level Tournament. They triumphed in the Mumbai region, followed by the Western region encompassing Maharashtra and Goa, and ultimately at the All India level. Congratulations to the girls on this significant achievement!
